This is the last will and testament of me Robert Neill of Bangor in the County of Down Shipowner and Coal Merchant hereby revoking all former or other Will or Wills by me at any time heretofore made — I leave to my son-in-law James Cochrane the sum of £l00 stg. over and above all money I have given to him to be paid to him six months after my decease — I leave to his daughter Agnes Cochrane the sum of £50 stg when she attains the age of 21 years — I leave to my grandson Robert Neill son to John the sum of £50 stg when he attains the age of 2l years; I leave a like sum of £50 stg to my grand-daughter Isabella daughter to Charles when she attains that age of 2l years and in the event of the death of any or all my grand-children before attaining the age of 21 years the bequest so made to each grandchild or children so dying shall form part of my residuary estate —
I leave and bequest to my son Charles the house I live in at Sandy Row, Bangor with the furniture therein and the one-half of the yard and offices in the rear; to my son James I leave the house he lived in formerly during my wife’s lifetime adjoining the before mentioned house with the furniture therein and the half of the yard and offices in the rear he and Charles are to pay the head rent common to both houses equally — AS to the property in Belfast which I purchased for the sum of £800 and in portion of which Hugh Craig lives I leave and bequest same unto my two sons Charles and James as tenants in common — AS to my interest in all vessels I leave same to my three sons Charles, James and John equally; to my son John I bequeath the sum of £200 stg to be paid to him in the event of his building a house in or convenient to Bangor within two years after my decease; and to my sons James and Charles I leave and bequeath all and every other such property monies and effects as I possess of whatever description or kind and whatsoever situate including my freehold property in Bangor to be held and enjoyed by them in equal shares and proportions and I appoint my said three sons Charles John and James as executors of this my will — IN WITNESS whereof l have hereunto set my hand this 20th day of June 1872.
